Industry Advisory Board Members
The following 15 industry advisory board members are establishing strategies designed to promote MDIEC’s growth. They are especially involved in providing guidance to assure that MDIEC’s education/training programs and related assessment tools provide significant value to industry. This is a national industry board with representatives from five states.
- Bill Mazurek, MDIEC Board Chair, and Director, Manufacturing
/ R&D, ConMed Linvatec. Linvatec produces arthroscopic,
endoscopic, & other surgical instruments.
- Dan Cavaliere, Electrosurgical Production Manager, Bovie Medical Corporation. Bovie Medical develops and manufactures electrosurgical medical and related products.
- Mary K. Cronin, Director, Learning and Development, Boston Scientific. Boston Scientific produces advanced less-invasive medical devices.
- Jon Enerson, Director, Research & Development, Halkey-Roberts. Halkey-Roberts produces components for medical devices.
- Don Gerhardt, President, Medical Alley/MNBIO. Medical Alley is a statewide Minnesota industry association with more than 500 members.
- Geary Havran, Chairman, Florida Medical Manufacturers Consortium (FMMC), and President of NDH Medical. FMMC is a statewide industry association with 50 members. NDH Medical is a contract medical device manufacturer.
- Scott Hergert, Product Line Manager, Spacelabs Medical. Spacelabs produces patient monitoring systems.
- David Herridge, Vice President of Engineering, Incisive Surgical, Inc. Incisive Surgical produces mechanical surgical solutions for skin closure.
- Cathy Krier, Senior Strategic Talent Sourcing Consultant: Quality – Regulatory – Clinical, Medtronic, Inc. Medtronic is the global medical technology company that develops/manufactures products that alleviate pain, restore health and extend life.
- Paul LaBarre, Technical Officer, PATH. PATH is an international, nonprofit organization that helps to provide appropriate health technologies and vital strategies that enable communities to break longstanding cycles of poor health.
- Bob Mehta, Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager, Edwards Lifesciences. Edwards Lifesciences is the global leader in the science of heart valves and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Keith Matthews, Quality Assurance Manager, in the wound management division of Smith & Nephew.
- R. Todd Schwoerer, President and Principal Engineer, Technology Systems Innovation, Incorporated. Technology Systems Innovation is a design and technology commercialization firm focused primarily on new medical devices, scientific instruments, and test systems.
- Tom Sullivan, Director of Quality, Beckman Coulter. Beckman Coulter develops and produces clinical diagnosis products.
- Tom Sommer, President, Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council. MassMEDIC is a statewide industry association with 300 members.
